Lotte World Day! Honestly, Expectations were low but it totally exceeded them!

I started off the day feeling like shit, like a throbbing head and sneezing as if I was sick. I decided not to go to my buddy program sports day because I woke up super late, and because I realized going to Lotte World would be more fun than doing this sports day without my buddy. I got to go to the gym with my roommate, where we had a breakthrough during back day. When doing the one where you sit down and pull a handle towards you, you shouldn’t bend your back and instead keep it straight to better utilize back muscles. Explained badly, but I’m proud of my discovery.

Side note: I feel like my roommate doesn’t realize how working out is a game of micro-optimizations for macro-gains. Like, holding a position for a second longer or keeping you back straighter can lead to a way more strenuous workout. However, I feel like its something she has to discover for herself and I can’t keep pointing out little things to her when she should want to get better for herself?

Then, I headed towards Lotte World and got there around 2:10. My friends wanted to do the school experience where you dress up in a school uniform, so I waited for them for over an hour until 3:30 because the sizing was a bit hard to figure out. We then headed towards Lotte World, where we realized we should have arrived way earlier because the lines were really long. I knew it would be like this, and I don’t really enjoy waiting in line for hours to go on a ride for 2 minutes, so I wasn’t too dissappointed. The park itself was really fun to look at because there was a lot of themed decorations, and the outside had a fake castle like Disneyland. There was also a webtoon event going on, with Dark Moon characters and a set to take pictures in. We got to walk around the entire park basically because it was small and we didn’t have much time for the rides between the shows we wanted to do

Here is my rating of the rides:

  • VR Shooting Game — 2/5: Honestly, it was definitely for kids and the shooting mechanic was really jank because it fired a lot lower than you expected. The seats barely moved, and because there were 40 people it wasn’t really personal. However, they did rank all the shooters at the end so it was fun to see your friends pop up and how well they did
  • French Revolution- 3/5: We waited about an hour for this in the solo rider lane, and honestly it was pretty short for how long the wait was. I had to take my glasses off so I couldn’t enjoy the theming inside the tunnel, but there were some fun plummets and loops.
  • Aquatic Carasoul-1/5: We wanted to do the spinny octopus seat but it was only for parents holding their children. Also, we looked really stupid among all the kids.
  • Pharoah’s Fury-5/5: the solo rider line was nonexistant because it was so late and the ride was tucked away on the top floor. The ride itself was super slow and chill, but it took you through really elaborate Egyption themed rooms with fake snakes, skulls, tombs, etc. It was also like 3–4 minutes long.
  • World Monorail-3/5: The line was really short, and we got a cart to ourself. The ride window was really dirty so it wasn’t even a clear view of the inside of the park, and it was musty in there.

We headed home right before it closed(at 10pm) and then I just fell asleep.
