Today was such a beautiful day and I’m glad I dont have to write another article about napping…and eating at the cafeteria…and going to the gym…etc…

I did wake up and go to the gym in the morning, but I decided to start eating at different resteraunts more and headed to a recommended jjajjamyeon (black bean noodle) resteraunt nearby. I could tell it was gonna be legit because it had an electronic ticketing system to get food, and I had to wait outside for like 5 minutes for a seat for 1. Honestly, although it was really yummy, I probably wouldn’t go back because most black bean noodles I’ve gotten from Korea haven’t hit as good at chapegetti, the instant one. I really love how thick the sauce is, and I feel like the noodles I’ve had in korea have had more watery sauces.

Then, I headed out to finally explore Naksan Park and complete two legs of the Seoul Fortress Trail. I started off strong with a traditional Korean donut, which was much chewier than American donuts with fluffy, pancake like dough.

Naksan Park was gorgeous, and there were really great views of Seoul with not much climbing involved (Unlike the BukGaeSan Mountain which involved over an hour of walking to hit the peak). It was so gorgeous visually, and the weather was really nice, and it made me want to go back with my camera just to better capture the beauty of what I was seeing.

I think my favorite part was the quirky, eclectic collection of stores, resteraunts, and random fixtures along the way. I saw vintage stores with incredible clutter inside, old workout machines scattered along the roads, and cafes overseeing views of Seoul. In Dallas, the best we got is Sweethut. In Seoul, you could overlook the entirety of the city for <$5 drinks.

Then, I finished the second leg, which was going past DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza) and quite boring. There was no view, and a lot of the fortress has been broken down with modern-day stores built nearby. At the end, I noticed that there was a Jokbal street, which is korean pig trotters marinated. Its traditionally eaten with some soybean paste, raw garlic, raw jalepenos, and shrimp paste wrapped in a leaf. I did not like eating it that way, and instead opted to just eat the jokbal with rice like a true loser. The Kimchi was really good and fresh tho, and I finished it alone.

Then, I headed back for my ISF meeting where we learned some simple introductions. I will never learn to conversate, but this class is chill enough where I go every week.

Lastly, I headed to the festival to finish off day 2, and we saw Crush and TripleS. Crush was really good, except for the fact he encored like 3 times and every time I was ready to leave.

Then, we headed to the PC cafe to visit my friend trying to get concert tickets. She had been there for 6 hours, and she missed the concert to try to use the PC Bang computer to buy tickets because her account was glitched. She didn’t end up getting tickets because the PC Bang computers didn’t really help, which was really sad to see. But also thats some insane dedication.

We ended the day with some McDonalds, where I accidentally got chicken tenders instead of chicken wings. : (
