WHEW got through all the backlog, now lets get into my trip to Busan!

The day started at around 5:30 am, where I woke up to get ready to go to Busan. I always love the anticipation before the trip, where you are packing up all your stuff and creeping around right before leaving for something you’ve planned for and paid for.

I got at the train around 6:20 am, where I had time to look around and grab a quick snack of coffee, eggs, and tonkotsu ham sandwich to snack on in the train. I only finished the sandwich, which was honestly pretty good and filling, and ended up bringing the eggs to the hostel and slowly finishing the coffee throughout the day.

When we got there, we dropped our stuff off at our hostel and headed to Gamcheon Culture Village, where we spent around 2 hours getting a British Lunch, walking around the area, and taking pictures. It was beautiful there, with the colored houses and mountain + sea backdrop making the perfect peaceful getaway. We didn’t end up wandering through alleys, as some people were claustraphobic, and I enjoyed the little art shops and seeing the Little Prince references scattered throughout.

Then, we headed towards BIFF Square in the Nampo area, which was honestly super dissappointing because it felt like a mini-Myeongdong or something you can find in Seoul with shops, street food carts, and typical chain resteraunts. We were also still super full from lunch, and didn’t get any street food.

Then, we headed to Jalgachi Market, which was a famous street market. We were really confused walking around the first floor, which was just live fish, until we headed up and saw the actual resteraunts. I was hoping for more street food-style eating rather than sitting down and ordering so I didn’t have enough stomach to eat anything.

Then, they wanted to rest near the water but the coffee was making my heart beat super fast and me super anxious so I ended up walking to the next points and they met me there later via bus. The walk itself was nice, but the endpoint was a little dissappointing because it was a less nice version of Gamcheon basically. We did get to see a gorgeous sunset from that spot, which was a good way to close out the exploration.

We walked around for a bit more before heading to a fried chicken place to end the night for dinner, and we once again ordered 2 trays and struggled to finish. Its hard because 2 is too big for two people, but one is too small, so we always have a negligible amoung of chicken leftover we are too full to finish. Maybe the strat is 2 trays of boneless chicken or 1 tray of bone-in chicken and some sides.

Then, we headed back to our hostel and walked around the Somyeon area, which was a nightlife street with a lot of late-night shopping and clubs. It felt really dirty and way shadier than Seoul, and we didn’t really enjoy that area much.

Then we headed off to sleep!
